[Abel Joseph John]

Hi All,

I am Abel, I had attended the hackathon event organised by libre-soc.
But due to time constraints could not contribute to the project at
that time.

Consider my skills as that of a beginner, but I am open to learn.

I have read through the charter and agree with it. I would love to
contribute to this project.

Welcome Abel! Very glad to have you joining us :) The first thing I would
suggest you do is go over the tutorial on libre-soc.org and if you have any
questions about anything in that to ask them here, and I or someone else
will respond and try our best to help you. Do you have a particular
interest in any part of this project or is your interest entirely general?

to contribute :) I was working on the conversion of raster to SVG
images earlier this year, so I'd be happy to answer any questions you

I did the “computation unit request release” image. But slowly and carefully I would like to make other images too. Going from the simpler to the toughest ones.

in ASIC layout? this is tricky at the moment, because there are no
Libre-Licensed tools that do verification, because all PDKs until only
2 months ago were under NDA.  it will get better: it will just take
time.

ah excellent, there's some tutorial links here on the nmigen section

please do bear in mind: nmigen is python, so you need to appreciate
and adapt to OO (Object-Orientated) programming.  this is *not*
normally taught to HDL Engineers: it is part of Software Engineering
training, not Hardware Engineering training.

IBM's requirements for its HDL engineers is that they know c++.

Hi,

I am new here.
I think I quite understood what’s this project about, but it will take some time to really understand everything.

In the meantime however, I would like to spend some of my free time to help you somehow. Mostly with simple tasks (not because of time, but for limited knowledge :) ).

I am really passionate about PowerPC architecture. I know you are “using” it for the project.
I would like to learn as much about PowerPC as possible. (Without stressing myself (much) :P).

I would like to work on the SVG conversion of the schematics. It seems easy enough to me and a great way to start doing something.

(I am not an engineer though, so a quick review of the images should be make. If I will find something I do not understand, I will pause and ask someone of you.)
