I added git mirrors for ieee754fpu.git and soc.git on debian salsa:

Since GitLab CE doesn't yet support pull mirroring, I set up a cron
job on jacob-build-server that syncs every minute.

this means manual checkout (and instructions) don't need an extra
argument. while we're at it, soclayout might as well be added to
that?
